Vu Khai Co's painting of a VNAF A-37Bs A-37s are doing a bomb-run over
enemy positions. Vu Khai Co: "The image called Angels was based on a diary from an Army officer who was involed in the evacuate of the 2nd CORP Headquater from Pleiku along the old
abandon route 7 as a shortcut but the civilian was following them as they could tell something was going on which created a very difficult situation for the Army as they were in the combat zone and had to protect the civilian at the same time and as a result, the communist was closing in and ambushed the exodude from all over........Then suddently a pair of A-37 appeared over them as the Angels came to rescue them even for a short period of time. The A-37s were believed to be from Nha Trang Air base, 524th FS".

F-5B, 23rd TW. Bien Hoa, also painted by Vu Khai Co.
Vu Khai Co: "I have done this F-5A in Corel Draw (software for graphics which we use at the office -By the way-, I'm an Industrial Designer). I was experiment to see how easy or quickly it was possible to do profile illustrations of the aircraft in term of changing the markings of units, squadrons etc. on a same type of aircraft. The outcome was quite interesting".
