A VNAF T-6G in flight. The serial number is 49-3471, and the squadron code appears to be kJ. This aircraft most likely belonged to the 912th Training Squadron based at Nha Trang. There has been some debate as to what color these aircraft were painted in: yellow or aluminum. Based on this photo I think it's safe to say they were yellow, which also was the standard color for training aircraft during the fifties. 55 T-6Gs were delivered to the VNAF during 1954-1956. They were phased out of VNAF service pretty quickly, when advanced pilot training was transferred to the USA. (Photo: Tuan)
