A-1H Skyraider, serial number 139691, 514th Fighter Squadron. The aircraft crash-landed near An Khe in 1967. It was hauled to An Khe by a U.S. Army CH-54A Skycrane and either stripped for parts or repaired. This photo becomes all the more interesting when you see another shot of this same plane in this same location, but photographed from the other side. Then it becomes clear that this Skyraider sported both the new and the old squadron markings of the 514t FS. The old-style markings in this photo, and the new-style on the left side of the fuselage.
