I found this heap, consisting of aircraft and helicopter parts from various types, along the road from Da Nang to China Beach (Marble Mountains). There were more scrapyards like this, where they would recycle the metal to make other items from them. They also processed diffused and emptied bombs and made them into steel rods to use as re-inforcement for concrete structures. I could identify parts of a C-119, an O-1, a UH-1H, an American CH-46A, and an F-5. (photo: Leon Wohlert)
